Elena Ceccato Byrnes, O.D.

Dr. Elena Ceccato Byrnes is a Board-Certified Optometrist who received her Bachelor of Science degree with Honors from Queen's University in Ontario. Following her undergraduate education in Canada, she completed the Doctor of Optometry program at the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee.

Dr. Elena Ceccato Byrnes then completed a nationally accredited residency program in the treatment and management of ocular disease. She has trained and since practiced extensively in the area of ocular disease (e.g.,Diabetes, macular degeneration, dry eyes, glaucoma, emergency eye care and pediatrics). Dr. Byrnes has also had the opportunity to work closely with local leading sub-specialists in the areas of glaucoma and retinal surgery.

The focus of Dr. Byrnes's practice is comprehensive primary eye exams and medical treatment of ocular diseases for all ages.
Refractive services include spectacle prescriptions and specialty contact lens fittings and strabismus (lazy eye) therapy.

Mita Gupta, O.D.

Dr Mita Gupta is a Board-Certified Optometrist who received her Bachelor of Science degree from the New York Institute of Technology in 2001 and successfully completed the Doctor of Optometry Program at the State University of New York College of Optometry in 2005. Dr Gupta completed her residency program at the Hudson Valley Veteran Affairs Healthcare System in Montrose, New York with a primary focus on the treatment and management of ocular disease such as Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration and Diabetic Retinopathy. During her residency she also trained on specialty and rigid contact lenses as well as prosthetic customization and fitting. Following her residency her paper on Vitreo-Macular Traction Syndrome gained her a Fellowship from the American Academy of Optometry in December 2006.

Dr Gupta joined Prince William Eye Associates with Dr Byrnes in 2009 and enjoys performing comprehensive eye exams, fitting contact lenses and treating ocular disease for all ages. She is competent in Spanish, Urdu and Hindi and is looking forward to taking care of your vision needs.
